Consumer Protection: This policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable Indian service laws. Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
1. Nature of Services
CosmoOps provides custom software development, data engineering, and consulting services. These are bespoke professional services tailored to each client's specific requirements. As such, refund eligibility depends on the stage of work and the nature of the engagement.
2. Cancellation by Client
- Before work commencesFull refund of any advance payment, less a 5% processing fee.
- Within 7 days of project startRefund of 50% of advance payment. Work completed to date will be delivered.
- After 7 days / mid-projectNo refund of advance payment. You will be invoiced for work completed to the cancellation date, pro-rated against the project scope.
- Retainer / ongoing engagements30 days written notice required. Amounts paid for the current billing period are non-refundable. Unused retainer hours from the current period may be applied to the notice period.
3. Cancellation by CosmoOps
If CosmoOps cancels a project before commencement due to capacity constraints or unforeseen circumstances, we will refund 100% of any advance payment within 7 business days. If we cancel a project mid-delivery, we will refund a pro-rated portion of fees for undelivered work.
4. Defective or Unsatisfactory Deliverables
If delivered work does not conform to the agreed specifications (as defined in the SoW), you may raise a defect within 14 days of delivery. We will remedy identified defects at no additional charge within a reasonable timeframe. Persistent failures after two remediation cycles may entitle you to a partial or full refund for the affected deliverable.
5. Non-Refundable Items
- Third-party software licences procured on your behalf
- Consulting and discovery sessions already conducted
- Domain registrations, hosting, and cloud infrastructure provisioned at your request
6. Refund Process
- Submit your refund request to hello@cosmoops.com with your project reference and reason.
- We will acknowledge within 2 business days and respond with a decision within 7 business days.
- Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method.
- Bank transfer charges are borne by the recipient.
7. Disputes
If you are unsatisfied with our refund decision, you may contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@cosmoops.com or visit our Grievance Officer page. You may also approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
